It is undeniable that sports and culture are intertwined in almost every country around the world. Some fans are more passionate than others and different sports carry more importance than others in varying regions. But if you really want to get to know a culture, the topic of the sports and the teams that people support have to be part of that conversation. Why? Because PEOPLE LOVE SPORTS. Some are fanatical about it! I also hope to cover more than just mainstream sports over time (eg. football) and focus more on local athletic competitions and activities that are deeply rooted in history and culture.
